How to know if it’s your fault that you can’t lose weight

No doubt that you’ve thought that the reason you can’t lose weight or put down that last biscuit is your fault.

That you are the one stopping yourself from achieving a healthy and sustainable way to lose weight. And making a healthy body a priority for you?

I’m going to guess that the answer is YES!!!!!!

And your response might be - that’s the bloody problem! Me, me, me ….

Maybe you think:

“I just don't seem to get anything right.

Or stick with it.

And I always go back to my old ways.

So I can’t possibly spend this amount of money on myself because it will be another waste.

Another failure.

Another bit of proof that the problem is me.

If I were only ….

More disciplined

More organised

Able to stop myself from eating

Able to say no”

So this is where I (the coach) come in and tell you to ‘stop it’ (with a loving tone).

Because on one hand, you are right - you are holding yourself back from achieving all those things that you want.

But, not for the reasons or conclusions you probably jump to.

There’s nothing wrong with you or your efforts to this point.

They were a part of your journey and for you to get to the point of no return.

And now you have to accept the fact that the reason you’re not quite where you want to be (yet) is because you don’t ….deep down ….

Believe that it’s possible

So your effort at best works for a little while then you stop/go off the wagon/ decide it doesn’t work.

And each time you do this, your belief in yourself becomes less as you use it as evidence for why it’s all too hard so you don’t want to risk further disappointment or shame.

So you stay the same.

Finding external excuses for why now isn’t the time especially not in front of other people who have seen you try again and again.

So you say things like ...

“Work’s too busy

Kids are too young

I don’t have the money right now

I have a birthday coming up and want to be able to eat and drink what I want”

Fast forward to 3, 6 or 12 months later and you still feel the same, maybe even worse, and you’ve gained another 5-10 lbs or more.

There is a way to break this cycle and it’s not going to be what you want to hear.

It doesn’t involve a fancy meal plan or an exercise routine…

Or ticking off a checklist to say you’re done…

Instead, in order to create a new Belief, you need to ‘Be’.

That means adopting the mindset that it is not only possible - but it is already a reality.

Virtually tricking your body into thinking it can have and be more before you have the actual proof.

And then you take the actions needed to sustain this belief.

If you don’t know what those actions are yet… no problem.

I DO.

I’ve been there, overcome it and have a fast-track system that can be tailored to your specific needs.

But then your next questions might be, ‘what do I do if I don’t know how to believe in myself’?

Well, it’s actually quite simple. You work with someone who will help you with that - like a coach.

Because a big part of what a coach does is to help you see what’s possible before you can.

And then to make it happen.

If you know you’re the type of person who blames yourself for not feeling in control around food and for not getting your body in shape then this is for YOU.
